The Application form may be used by individuals, groups or skating programs seeking support from The Capitol Skating Fund. Applications will be evaluated by the Board of Directors twice annually. Applications must be postmarked by March 1 and October 1 to be considered by the Board. Funding decisions will be made by June 1 and January 1, respectively.

A figure skating individual or team (dance, pairs) in the Washington DC metropolitan area may apply or be nominated for consideration. Applicants and nominees should have at least competed in a U.S. Figure Skating qualifying competition to be eligible for an award. The Board will evaluate applications and nominations based primarily on figure skating achievement and competitive record, but special consideration will be given to skaters who also significantly demonstrate good sportsmanship, work ethic, and academic standing in school. The funding of this program is limited. Awards are therefore highly competitive, and generally not exceed $1,000.
The CSF encourages skating clubs, coaches, officials, and other individuals and organizations to create diverse projects with broad impact on figure skating in the Capitol region. A project may be experimental in nature and serve as a model for national replication. The funding of programs is highly competitive. A project should be completed within 12 months from the time of the award and requests generally do not exceed $5,000.
