Process to Distribute Designated Grants
The Board of Directors has formed a Designated Grants Committee (DGC) that will review the application of any skater or program that has been named as the recommended designated recipient of a gift to the Capitol Skating Fund (CSF). After this review the DGC will recommend to the Board that the skater or program be declared eligible to receive support from a Designate Grant. When the Secretary or Treasurer receives a specific request for funds, this request will be circulated to the DGC. The DGC will authorize the Treasurer to disburse the funds. The members of the DGC are the President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of the Board of Directors.
- The Designated Recipient (individual or program) will be notified of the donation and sent a CSF Application. The Application and any additional information considered relevant should be submitted to the Secretary, Capitol Skating Fund.

- Upon receipt of the application, the DGC will review the information to determine eligibility to receive the designated support. Eligibility will be determined in accordance with the purposes stated in the Mission Statement and By Laws of the Capitol Skating Fund, including the accomplishments of the individual or program and the degree to which they support Capitol Skating Fund Goals. It is assumed that a skater to whom the Board has previously provided support is eligible to receive designated support grants.
- When the DGC has made their recommendation to the Board and a determination of eligibility has been made, the skater or program will be informed of their eligibility.
- Once eligible, the skater or program should make specific requests for funding from the designated funds, citing the expenses, bills or other requirements. In the case of skater's bills, payments will be made directly to the service provider. These funding requests should normally be in amounts approximating $1000.00 or more. The request should be made to the Treasurer of the Fund.

- When the DGC reviews and approves the request, the Treasurer will make the disbursement.
- It is the policy of the Capitol Skating Fund to honor requests to provide designated grants to eligible skaters to the extent possible, recognizing, however, that the CSF retains and exercises its discretion in the disbursement of funds to any skaters or groups.
- All requests for designated grants will be handled as expeditiously as possible.
- Any individual or group that has received support from a designated donation is welcome to subsequently apply to the CSF for an unrestricted grant.
